Lionel Richie once peeled back the curtain on Michael Jackson's surprisingly challenging personal hygiene habits while touring. With dry cleaners often pilfering his clothes as souvenirs and his immense fame making a simple shopping trip impossible, Jackson, Richie explained, frequently resorted to wearing the same pair of pants until they literally fell apart.

The "All Night Long" singer also shared observations about Jackson's casual attire during visits: typically, ill-fitting jeans and a t-shirt that were either slipping off or comically short, and occasionally, Richie admitted, rather "smelly." In a particularly memorable instance, Richie even discreetly ushered Jackson into his home for a much-needed shower – his first in days – before kindly supplying him with fresh jeans and underwear.

The Federal Government has successfully intervened to resolve a recent disagreement between the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN). After two days of intensive conciliation meetings, peace has been restored between the two parties. A statement issued early Wednesday by Dr. Mohammed Maigari Dingyadi, the Minister of Labour and Employment, confirmed that the matter reached a resolution following extensive discussions. Among the key agreements reached, the Minister underscored an important principle: the right of workers to unionize is enshrined in Nigerian law and must be respected. Additionally, after a review of the circumstances surrounding some employee disengagements, it was decided that the Dangote Group management would promptly begin redeploying these staff members to other companies within the Dangote Group, ensuring they experience no loss of pay.
