Nigeria president Tinubu Nominates New Ambassadors To US, UK And France.

The esteemed individuals nominated for these crucial roles are Ambassador Ayodele Oke, Retired Colonel Lateef Kayode Are, and Ambassador Amin Mohammed Dalhatu.


Ambassador Dalhatu brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as Nigeria's envoy to South Korea. He held this important position under the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari, initially appointed in 2016.


Ambassador Ayodele Oke is another notable nominee with a strong background. A graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, he once held the prestigious role of Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA). His diplomatic career also includes a tenure as Nigeria’s ambassador to the Secretariat of the Commonwealth of Nations, based in London.


Retired Colonel Lateef Kayode Are is a highly respected figure in the intelligence community. He led the State Security Service (SSS) as Director General from 1999 to 2007, and later served as National Security Adviser in 2010. His impressive career began with service in the Directorate of Military Intelligence. Academically, Are distinguished himself early on, earning a First Class degree in Psychology from the University of Ibadan in 1980.
