Bayern's 16-game winning streak is over.

The game took a surprising turn when Bayern fell behind; Danilho Doekhi's shot, coming after a corner, managed to sneak past keeper Manuel Neuer. In fact, it was the first time all season that they had found themselves trailing in a match or conceded a goal before halftime. But Union's lead didn't last long, as Diaz netted his third goal in just two games – and what a spectacular strike it was! From what looked like a lost cause after Josip Stanisic's perfectly weighted pass appeared to be heading out, Diaz miraculously kept the ball in play on the byline with three exquisite touches, spun past his marker, and unleashed an unstoppable shot into the near post from an incredibly tight angle.

Harry Kane, who had a surprisingly subdued afternoon, inadvertently set up Union's second goal when he headed a free-kick straight to Doekhi, who then calmly slotted it past Neuer. Yet, the England captain showed his class, making amends in the 93rd minute by powerfully heading home Tom Bischof's cross, bagging his 13th Bundesliga goal of the campaign.

Looking ahead, Bayern will be back in action after the international break with a home game against Freiburg on Saturday, November 22nd, at 14:30 GMT. Meanwhile, Union Berlin will journey to Hamburg to face St Pauli on Sunday, November 23rd, at 16:30 GMT.

American sprinter Melissa Jefferson-Wooden achieved an incredible gold-medal sweep at the recent World Championships, but surprisingly, she's expressed that she's "not satisfied" with her performance.

Just over a year ago, Melissa Jefferson-Wooden proudly claimed a bronze medal for her third-place finish in the women's 100m sprint at the Paris Olympics. While the coveted title of "Fastest Woman on Earth" eluded her then, her infectious smile and vibrant energy were undeniable. Fast forward to September 21st of this year, and that radiant smile was back, but this time, the medal around Jefferson-Wooden's neck shone with an even more brilliant gleam. The South Carolina native had just secured her third gold medal at the 2025 World Athletics Championships, following stunning triumphs in the 100m, 200m, and by running the opening leg of the 4x100m relay. The sprint triple crown is, namely so, the jewel of track and field. Jefferson-Wooden’s name is instantly placed in the same stratosphere as some of the greats – the only other woman in history to achieve the feat in the World Championships is legendary Jamaican sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. Esteemed company, indeed.

Arsenal will host West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday (today) in a Premier League clash that coincides with Mikel Arteta’s 300th game in charge of the Gunners. Arteta’s men head into the contest on the back of successive wins over Newcastle United in the league and Olympiacos in the Champions League, results that have boosted confidence in their push for the top of the table. West Ham, now managed by Nuno Espírito Santo, have struggled with inconsistency and remain vulnerable from set pieces, an issue their manager has admitted could weigh on the team psychologically if not resolved. The Gunners may be without Brazilian defender Gabriel, who picked up a minor knock during the week.
